Sacramento Local Gluten Free Spots

While checking out new places is fun, there are always some spots I hit up more regularly too. Once you find a place you trust with options you enjoy, you’re bound to come back time and time again.

As I find places that I continually come back to, I will keep this list updated so any locals can maybe find a new go-to!

Thai Hut (Carmichael)

If you’re looking for service with a smile and a family owned place that’s not ridiculously priced and has options for GF and non-GF people, Thai Hut in Carmichael is the place for you! My go to is the Chicken Pad Thai which is great for dine-in and to-go orders.

Pushkin’s (Midtown & Roseville)

This one is obvious if you’re GF, but Pushkin’s bakery in Midtown is great for baked goods and sandwiches. Back pre-2020 when my office was over by Cal Expo, I would hit up the Midtown location at least once a month if not more. Hands down, while I’ve ordered one of everything by now after 10+ years, the pumpkin bread is easily in the triple digits by now. It’s a season fave for sure!

Once the location in Roseville opened up, I frequent that one anytime I’m closer to that side of town. If you’re looking for a treat or a meal, definitely pop-by. I mean, dedicated GF place plus a fries option on the menu… what’s not to like!

Both are great options for birthday cakes too!

Siblings (Midtown)

Under the same Pushkin’s family is Siblings which is my go-to place for brunch. They have kombucha, fresh options (both vegan and not), tasty seasonal options and regular staples. If it’s a weekend and I’m looking for brunch with friends or family, chances are high I’m suggesting a pitstop here for sure. My go to is the waffles or chicken and waffles 95% of the time!

Zocalo (Midtown)

Another Midtown spot is Zocalo which is perfect for lunch with the girls. It has many options that can be made gluten free easily and the staff is knowledgeable about what you can and cannot order safety-wise. So if you’re looking for a Mexican-style upscale spot, definitely check them out.

Revolution Winery & Kitchen

This places got added to the list after my first visit. Many options to choose from, super cute location, great for solo meals or meals with friends plus wine… it’s bound to be a great time for all!
