The holiday season is the perfect time to make something new and while I’ve extended my #13NewGFRecipesin2023 to now be #13NewGFRecipesin202324 since it didn’t happen on schedule this year, I still managed two brand new recipes in the pipeline over the Christmas period.

This year, I hosted Christmas Eve desserts at my home for the family, which meant finding recipes that would check boxes for everyone. Up first was a Spice Cake c/o Gluten Free on a Shoestring which was delicious.

The only substitution I made was using Country Crock plant butter instead of regular butter. So for the sake of my time in the kitchen, this one was gluten free (obviously) and vegan.

Otherwise, everything was used as written and 10/10 would make this again, holiday season or any other time of year. They come together pretty easily and are the perfect little bite to spice up your life.
