Gluten Free Bread

Today’s new recipe was from @gfshoestring for her everyday bread. I picked this one because it was one bowl and a one-day recipe. It was a long week and I just didn’t have a multi-day process in me/

Subbed in almond milk and used whatever GF flour I had in the pantry. Otherwise, followed the recipe to the letter. My big mistake was putting it in a baking pan that was too large. In the recipe (which you can find on her website under “Artisan Bread”) she baked hers in a large glass bowl.

Next time I make this one, I’ll use a smaller baking dish and hopefully get a fuller rounder loaf or maybe even just use a legit loaf pan. I think this would make great croutons or bread crumbs too because the crust on it is ace!

Also, shoutout to these reusable covers I bought on Amazon. Since I’m not a fan of single waste or the feeling of plastic wrap, I usually end up cutting an old bread package from Udi’s or Canyon Bakehouse for my “cover and let it rise” moment.
