Everyone loves a sweet treat for their special occasions, and those of us who suffer from celiac or a gluten intolerance are no different.
My first birthday being #glutenfree back in 2014 was rough. I remember being bummed because I couldn’t have a cake and “smear my name” for good luck. [It’s a New York tradition]
Since that first birthday, I had a few years of getting cupcakes from Pushkin’s downtown or from a local store stocking Pushkin’s cupcakes. Which while I definitely wasn’t complaining, it still wasn’t the same.
Then two or three years ago, my family ordered a custom cake from Pushkin’s for my birthday. I was pumped. Now it’s all I ask for when my birthday rolls around.
I think since then, we’ve had a confetti cake, a lemon-blueberry cake and a chocolate cookies & cream vegan cake. All of which were delicious. My family (who does not need to be gluten free) always enjoy them too.
Definitely worth ordering a cake for your next celebration if you’re anywhere around Sacramento or Roseville. Check out all of the options online: https://pushkinsbakery.com/collections/cakes
