Officially back on the “let’s get out of the recipe rut” with a new Pizza recipe.
Before you do anything, turn your oven on and preheat to 500 degrees with your pan in the oven to heat a bit.
First, combine 200 grams of water, 1 tbsp of sugar (I used organic cane sugar) and one packet of instant yeast. Set that aside for 5 or so minutes until it’s foamy on top. Then stir in 2 tbsp of olive oil.
In a separate bowl, I whisked 384 grams of @bobsredmill Cup4Cup flour with 1-1/2 tsp of kosher salt.
Once the yeast /oil was ready, we combined it with the flour and then mixed it with a wooden spoon until smooth.
Then remove baking pan from the oven and line it with parchment paper. Transfer dough to pan and spread with a rubber or silicone spatula. Add sauce and toppings and pop in the oven.
Ours was fairly thick, so it baked for about 15ish minutes. Definitely would make it again, but maybe would add some Parmesan cheese to to the crust and potentially make it slightly thinner or in a bigger pan.
