Whether you’re new to the GF scene or you’ve been GF for years, this app is a lifesaver.
If you’re newly GF, this app will help you find places in your area that (1) offer gluten free options and (2) are safe. Think of this app as the Yelp of being Gluten Free.
First you’ll need to download the app from the AppStore or GooglePlay. They do have a website, but for pure accessibility out-and-about, I 100% recommend the app.
From there, you can search by restaurant name, food type, meal type, and more importantly, by location. This is especially helpful to anyone who travels. Whether it is once a year or once a week, it’s worth it.
One of the major benefits of using FindMeGF is the ratings feature. Whether you’re choosing to eat less gluten because it makes you feel better, you have celiac, or are somewhere in between, you’ll be able to use this app to find places that cater to your dietary needs.

Here is a link to the Sacramento top-rated places. For an example, take a look at the Pushkin’s Bakery page since I’ve already raved about it. It has over 50 ratings, a five-star average, and lists off the amenities. In my opinion, if a place is not listed as “Celiac Friendly” and doesn’t have more than four stars, I am not chancing it.
In many cases (but sadly, not always), the gluten free menu is also linked directly on the app. This way, you can see what options you’ll have beyond “just get this salad and ask for no croutons” because we know how well that works, right?!
If you are Vegan, Plant Based, Dairy Free, etc., there are options for you to narrow your search within that realm too.
All-in-all, whether I’m travelling in another state or just in driving through Folsom, I’m going to pull out my phone, tap the app open and find somewhere safe and hopefully delicious to eat within minutes!
